Who We Are

We are a team of three educators who believe that access to high-quality science teaching for all can change the world. Between the three of us, we have taught science from pre-K through 12th grade. We've worked in American public schools and international schools. In addition to our classroom experience, we have coached teachers, worked in school administration, and managed school-wide implementation of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)

 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were all working at different international schools in Latin America. Taking advantage of the virtual learning options that the pandemic afforded us, we planned and facilitated a series of virtual conferences for hundreds of science educators from over 40 American schools across Latin America.  From feedback from conference participants, we identified the need for high quality professional learning to on-board teachers who are new to a school that is implementing Next Generation Science Standards. To address this need, we created the NGSS Foundations Virtual Course. Since we created the course in 2021, thousands of educators have piloted the course and helped us to refine the content. The Team

I'm very impressed with the asynchronous NGSS course developed by Britta, Heather, and John Mark. It fills a niche for onboarding new teachers and schools while being flexible with scheduling. It's nice to have a course created by experienced teachers who have seen and understand the pedagogical shifts required by NGSS.
